Joe, being very much a technical ('non-conventional' market data hobbyist) myself, I was very interested to read your algorithm results today (and going back a few days so far). I use a pattern type recognition system that I don't believe anyone else is using (at least I have not seen anyone publishing anything similar). The system I use indicated that this drop should not be a significant market move (other than it's apparent violence) and as such, should resolve close to where it is currently situated so I was very pleased to see your latest 'bullish' analysis. I focus on data and throw out opinion so this algo is impressing me greatly at the moment. I would be happy to share my pattern signals just for giggles when they occur as a way to demonstrate to you how the timing fits and thus compare the two sets of findings. Thanks for all your work here, Ray.
ReplyDeleteRay,
DeleteThank you for sharing your ideas and kind words.
I am currently developing (and testing) another algorithm that looks out 30 days; it is just a bullish. The models, used above, look out less than 7 days... we'll see.
Joe
Very much looking forward to that algorithm result. Your preliminary comment concurs with patterns we are seeing. As a matter of interest, it very much looks like and expanding-type pattern subsequent to an elevating pattern this morning. The two together often signal an imminent move up out of the short term range. As you say, we'll see..Ray
